What a Mighty God we serve!

Our Sr. Pastor will preach anywhere God calls him to! Overseer Marvin J. Young, II became a licensed minister under Pastor Ivy Wilson, Jr. on August 27, 2000. He would become Assistant Pastor of Jerusalem B.C. at Morgan City, LA., where his father, Marvin J. Young, Sr. was Deacon. At this same time, Overseer Young was an Associate Pastor at Mt. Pilgrim B.C. under Pastor C. F. Smith; the church his maternal family attended. Overseer Young comes from a family of Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, Evangelist beginning with his great-great grandparents and includes his brother, sister and their spouses.
Continuing to seek the fullness of Jesus Christ, Overseer Young was lead by God to leave both Jerusalem B.C. and Mt. Pilgrim B.C. to assist a newly formed ministry in Morgan City - Morning Glory! Pastor Hendry and Co-Pastor Deb Johnson allowed the gifts God had in our Pastor to blossom until March 2003.
The Lord spoke to our leaders and told them to depart for Cleveland, OH for additional training and Spiritual development for the ministry He created in them. The Lord opened the door for the family to return and reunite with Pastor Kimberlie's home church, Pentecostal Church of Christ, where the Senior Pastor is Bishop J. Delano Ellis, II and the incomparable Dr. Sabrina J. Ellis is Pastor. It was there Overseer Marvin J. Young, II would attend Christ United Theological School and become recognized and licensed as a Pentecostal Apostolic Minister. PCC's assistant Pastor, Bishop Benjamin T. Douglas, would jokingly tell our Pastor, "Your problem is you know too much bible!"
Our Pastors served in many different areas of the ministry. Integrity, discipline, faithfulness and the ability to correctly divide and effectively communicate the Word of God are just a few qualities gained by both through this dynamic and profound ministry. Overseer Young would teach a weekly bible study at one of the city's male half-way houses. He along with Minister Jerry J. Brown would minister to and pick up men from the homeless shelter on Sundays for church in their own vehicles. Their diligence in reaching those often left behind moved the church so that it opened its treasury and provided resources to assist these men.
Our Pastors have a heart to please God. Their home is open to anyone in need. There were many times that our leaders would invite a group of homeless men they'd befriended into their homes as family. They even discussed with their children the importance of helping one another. One Christmas, the entire family decided to sacrifice their gifts to shower this group of men for Christmas! God moved in a mighty way that cold winter day. Many, including Minister Brown, were moved to tears. Our Elders not only made Jesus the focus of the season, but exhibited His love for these men. "It was a small price to pay considering what God has done for our family," says Pastor Kimberlie. "The good thing about it was our entire family was blessed."

What a friend we have in Jesus!

Pastor Kimberlie is a woman with vision, depth and determination. Her no nonsense approach and intercession demand attention and keeps the devil on the run.
This is a true lady, a woman's woman and a mother to all! The hand of God is upon our Pastor and she is determined to make a difference in our city and the world to the glory of God. Pastor Kimberlie had worked for the Kingdom in personal settings, ministering in conferences, before church congregations, to families and the business community. Her service in ministry and ability to rightly divide the word of Truth exudes through what she says and does.
Our spiritual mother’s testimonies will astound you. She's borne much fruit though it didn't come easy. "I'd remind myself of the promises God made me and continue to move forward," says our Pastor. "Sometimes the road had been rough and flesh-killing sacrifices had to be made. In the end, I have peace that passes understanding in whatever state I find myself. Not only that, less of me means more of Jesus and I'll take Him any day!" She allows God to take her skills and minister to people by attacking real issues at their root. Pleasant, tactful and polite, our woman of God pushes people into His presence, even against their will. "No more excuses. No more limitations. No more deception. It's time to mature that measure of faith given you by God. Be Witnesses. Be Disciples."
Pastor Kimberlie had worked as an Accountant and Financial Analyst for Fortune 500 Companies, two Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), along with one of the “Top-4” hospitals in the country and as a Finance Manager for a local non-profit. Our pastor has achieved various certifications, awards and commendations in ministry and in business because of her boldness in Jesus Christ and by making accuracy and time management essentials in her performance. She is not only a great teacher but our Pastor of Administration, she runs the place!
Therefore, Women of Favor Ministries was established in 2002 for women to lean on Jesus to purge nations of idols, images, ideals and lifestyles created by the adversary to deter the lost from following Christ (2 Corin 34). This starts with foundation of civilization - the family! Women of Favor Ministries is a place where women give up on being led by emotions and society’s standards of doing things to embrace God’s unique identity and Power within each of us with demonstrations following. In addition, SAKAL GROUP, LLC was formed to educate, train and prosper God’s people by furthering His Kingdom into the marketplace.
Our Pastor believes that there is every blessing in obedience and that faith delivers maximally with prompt action. This is what she believes it means to manifest the Sons of God. “Say and do what God tells you through His Word, the moment He says it. I was merely the vessel in these accomplishments. Now God has instructed me to show and tell others how to eliminate the word IMPOSSIBLE from their vocabulary by making Jesus Lord over our lives.”
There's a new generation coming after our leaders. Overseer Marvin J. II & Pastor Kimberlie N. Young are the parents of six sons who they lovingly refer to as God's Scouts. This family has overcome many obstacles and is a testament to the faithfulness of God. Keep watching as God builds upon this sure foundation.
